Sofia the First – The Floating Palace

I had the chance to work on some of the initial promo spots for the debut of Sofia the First, but this spot, The Floating Palace (her second movie) was so much more fun.

The whole thing was pretty straight forward, primarily done in Maya (with a bunch of help from Blake Newton), and a bit of After Effects trickery here and there. Again, I got to utilize Mettle’s Free From Pro to bring a bit more life to the Disney Channel logo at the end, which turned out nice.

Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel

Well, it was only a matter of time that my work with Disney would have some sort of Marvel crossover.

Originally the Disney Channel wanted to really push the style into the comic world with many of the design elements pulling directly from different comic books. They also wanted to try to incorperate a bit of Roy Lichtenstein in there as well.

I went through a number fo designs before everything eventually worked its way into the final look and feel, with subtle hints of comic elements and heavy, impactful text and colors.

Disney Pirate Design Work!

They’ve been letting me do more and more design at work, and I kind of like it!

These were a few ideas for a Jake and the Neverland Pirates themed Special Movie Night bug for Disney Channel. I’m not sure which one they went with, but I’m pleased with them nonetheless.

Plus, some idea sketches. I was a bit bummed they didn’t want to go the sword/pirate route, as my love for such things have been well documented, but what aaarrr ye going to do?
